Join an elite group dedicated to continuous personal improvement as GCT is currently seeking an Oracle Geospatial Database Engineer to work on an exciting new program of high attention! The qualified candidates will serve as analysts that independently perform a wide range of information collection supporting NGA activities and functions. The candidates require an understanding of the Intelligence Community, and experience with NGA operations would be beneficial. They should have a good understanding of process management/improvement applications. This position requires vision, leadership, and proficiency in issue/event identification, analysis, and ability to work with others in NGA leadership and management positions. The candidate’s reviews submissions and reports from government input and communicates them to varied audiences (e.g., NGA, DoD, IC, Federal government, Congress, and private industry) in a timely and appropriate manner. This position will involve use of process improvement and knowledge management tools utilizing NGA’s Lessons Learned database. There will be numerous opportunities to interface with Key Components and NGA management during the course of performing the duties associated with this position.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI level clearance required…NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Must have ability to work with others in NGA leadership and management positions
- Must have some experience developing some code, including shell scripts, and must be capable of extending examples provided by other engineers
- Must have some experience with Oracle 10g with Oracle Spatial
- Specific experience with C, C++, Java, XML, and/or web services is considered a plus
- Desire to learn new concepts and skills with leading edge technology development and configuration
