Job Description: Use your expertise and knowledge to help Great-Circle Technologies create geospatial solutions!
Join an elite group dedicated to continuous personal improvement as GCT is currently seeking Computer Programmers to work on an exciting new program of high attention! This person will be supporting The Information Integration Office (NGA/II), Data Engineering Division (NGA/IID), in developing overarching principles that will enable migration of Overhead Non-imaging Infrared (ONIR)/Infrared (IR) capabilities to common Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (TPED) processes.
Among the anticipated tasks are: analysis of existing phenomenology to support future exploitation and reporting requirements, based on Essential Elements of Information (EEI) needs; development of a migration path from current proprietary exploitation system(s) to achieve a common exploitation environment, based on open standards; and proposal of an architecture to capture ancillary data input(s), not currently captured or saved, in support of advanced, multi-INT intelligence requirements.

Qualifications: The Chief Scientist shall be skilled in data engineering, data architectural design, and project management. They shall be required to independently initiate, plan, execute and report on tasks as identified by the Government. They shall have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Additional qualities desired in the SME supporting the task include the following:
- Active TS/SCI level clearance required
- A minimum of five years systems engineering and/or data/software engineering experience and current knowledge of TPED processes that support national systems
- Working knowledge of National, DoD, and Civil Community missions and responsibilities;
- Experience with civil, military, commercial software engineering development, documentation, and testing practices
- Background in developing and integrating space borne imaging sensors and spectrometers, ground image processing systems, and advanced data exploitation algorithms and tools
- Understanding of developing enterprise architectures, data architecture design and integration, and documentation
- Proven success working on and/or leading teams
- Ability to organize complex projects and briefings
- Must be skilled in all Microsoft Office tools, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook. More specialized analysis tools will be selected and provided with the associated training according to specific study or analysis requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with senior level personnel
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Technical background relating to imagery and/or intelligence-related products/support, tasking and collection, exploitation regarding national systems and products

| Education: The position requires a PhD in physics, aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, or similar physical sciences from an accredited institution. The position requires 15 or more years experience developing and integrating space borne imaging sensors and spectrometers, ground image processing systems, and advanced data exploitation algorithms and tools. The position requires 15 or more years experience solving intelligence and planetary remote sensing problems. | |
